Sue Scott

North East Regional Manager

Sue Scott joined EFFP in October 2007 as North East Regional Manager. She is responsible for provision of dedicated business support to groups of farmers who would like to collaborate to achieve business success, and for support to existing farmer controlled businesses across Durham and Northumberland. She also works with processors and manufacturers to increase the volume of local farm produce being sourced. Prior to joining EFFP, Sue ran her own consultancy and project management business focusing on the small and medium sized enterprise (SME) sector, working across a range of industries including agriculture carrying out strategic reviews, feasibility studies, business planning and market research for private sector clients as well as managing delivery of Farm Business Advice Service in the SE and West Midlands. She also works for Cranfield School of Management as a counsellor on their acclaimed Business Growth & Development Programme where she assists owner managers of ambitious businesses to create plans to achieve their goals.

Formerly Sue worked as a business adviser for Business Links in London and Oxford and started her career with ADAS in the Midlands and then South East. Having been to school in Durham where she was brought up, she has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Agricultural Science (Nottingham University) and is a Master of Business Administration (University of Warwick Business School).
