Prior to joining EFFP David was Business Development & Enterprise Manager at The Rural Business Centre at Myerscough College. David had responsibility for the delivery of business advice delivered by the college, Made in Lancashire, a local food initiative and the beef and sheep sector in the Forward Farming pilot of demonstration farms. Bringing farmers together to identify opportunities for collaboration and sharing information has been at the centre of David's work at the College.
A practising beef and sheep farmer from the Pennines of North Manchester, David farms a 250 acre upland farm running Texel X and Mule ewes. A background as a wholesale butcher gives David a particular interest in the red meat sector
David is also the Project Co-ordinator for Share to Rear: Collaborating for profit in the red meat sector
